EuroMillions player in Offaly wins over €24k

There's an early Christmas present for one EuroMillions player in the Moneygall area of Offaly, who matched five numbers in last night’s draw to win a cool €24,454.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Monday, December 6 at the Spar shop at Obama Plaza in Moneygall.

The winning numbers in Tuesday’s (December 7) draw were: 22, 31, 38, 46, 47 and lucky stars 07, 11.

The lucky winner, who now has a ticket worth €24,454, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it in a safe place.

The winner then should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

Meanwhile, the National Lottery is continuing to appeal to Lotto players nationwide to purchase their tickets early ahead of tonight’s capped draw. Lotto players are reminded that the cut-off time for ticket sales is 7.45pm this evening and that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie.

Since Saturday, October 2, no additional funds have been added to the €19,060,800 jackpot which has resulted in players at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 categories receiving larger prizes than usual due to the prize roll down.

Across the last 19 Lotto draws, 210 players all over the country who won at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 tiers have enjoyed boosted prize funds due to the jackpot cap. In last Saturday’s Lotto draw, an online player in Limerick matched five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €1,034,454.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.
