Met Eireann issues weather advisory for 'localised flooding' this week

Met Eireann has today (Tuesday) issued an updated weather advisory for the rest of the week, saying wet conditions are in store throughout the country, bringing a risk of localised flooding.

The weather advisory for all counties will remain in effect between now and Saturday.

The forecaster said people should expect "spells of rain, which will be heavy at times," and given the "already saturated soils" this may lead to some localised flooding.

"It will be windy at times also," said Met Eireann.

The temperature this week will be very mild for this time of year, with readings of up to 14 degrees Celsius expected on Wednesday and Thursday.
