Offaly duo awarded third degree black belt

Congratulations to Daingean’s Tony Dunne and Lusmagh’s Fergal Kelly on their achievement of a third degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate on Sunday, December 12 last in Celebridge Kenpo Academy.

They showed great determination, valour and spirit during the test displaying great knowledge in all aspects of the syllabus. It was testament to their commitment to the sport and their dedication to training two and sometimes three evenings a week and some weekends in the run up to the test also continuing to training individually due to Covid for a number of months.

On the day, they were presented their black belts by Edward Downey 9th Degree Black Belt who said ‘it was an outstanding display of Kenpo skills and talent’
