Edenderry councillors discuss policing with local Superintendent

Cathaoirleach and members of Edenderry Municipal District recently met with local Superintendent Eamon Curley and Inspector Oliver Baker to discuss issues regarding policing within the district.

The meeting facilitated discussions in relation to the nature and level of crime, Garda resources, community interaction and ongoing communications between the members and Gardaí.

Members raised a number of concerns and suggestions which had been communicated to them by their constituents and which were responded to by Superintendent Eamon Curley.

Councillor Liam Quinn, Cathaoirleach of the District, thanked the Gardai for their attendance and engagement which was appreciated by all present. Superintendent Curley indicated his appreciation to the members for their input and also agreed to give further consideration to a number of issues raised.

Members agreed that the meeting was very positive and it agreed to convene further meetings during the year.
