Offaly schools qualify for Western Final of Junk Kouture

A number of Offaly entries in this year's Junk Kouture competition have made it through to the Western Regional Final.

The nine month school programme begins in September with 6 finals taking place before the winner is crowned.

The Offaly designs through to the Western Regional Final are:

Daiocht - Tullamore College

Flapping Furious - Tullamore College

Shower of Reign - Sacred Heart School, Tullamore

To Dye For - Sacred Heart School, Tullamore

The Bees Knees - St Brendan's Community School, Birr

I Am Woman - Sacred Heart School, Tullamore

Junk Kouture is a fashion competition for secondary school students, where participants design, create and model fashion, made from recycled items.

The competition has been running since it was first set up by Troy Armour in 2010. The annual Grand Finale has been held in the 3Arena, Dublin since 2015.
