Tenants move into new Clúid homes in Tullamore

25 of the 26 properties in the first Tullamore housing scheme to be developed by the Clúid voluntary housing agency have already been allocated to tenants on the housing waiting list of Offaly County Council.

The housing development, known as Jackson’s Hill, is located on a site close to the junction of the Srah Road and the Rahan Road, on the outskirts of the town, and consists of two-storey semi-detached homes.

Clúid purchased the site from John Flanagan Developments and then entered into a development agreement with the construction company to build out the site, in a process known as Developer Design and Build.

Communications Manager with Clúid Housing, Fiona O’Connor, confirmed to the Offaly Independent this week that they have been working in close co-operation with Offaly County Council over the past number of weeks to allocate the homes in Jacksons Hill, and she added that “some of the tenants have already moved into their new homes.”

Ms O’Connor said the 26 properties in the development came into Clúid management on May 4 last, whose Housing Services team has been working with the Offaly local authority to allocate the new homes to households on the waiting list.

“We are very proud of the fact that this is Clúid’s first development in Tullamore” said Ms O’Connor "and we are very pleased with the completed project" The housing scheme was granted planning permission in 2019.
