Body&Soul release stage times for this weekend's festival

Popular Westmeath based music festival 'Body&Soul' has announced the stage times for this year's performers at the event in Ballinlough Castle this weekend.

The Body&Soul stage will feature acts such as Soda Blonde, King Kong Company and DJ Jon Hopkins on Friday.

Popstar CMAT, indie rock band Pillow Queens and singer-songwriter Róisín Murphy will take to the stage on Saturday.

Closing out the main stage on Sunday will be rock band Yard Act, rapper Sampa the Great and post-rock band Mogwai.

Other notable performers will include musician Daithí, Blindboy Boatclub, singer-songwriter Aby Coulibaly, rapper Jafaris, hip hop duo Mango X MathMan and Malaki.

Attendees can also enjoy meditation, music for psychedelic therapy, yoga and drag bingo and the creative Pagan Rave which is synonymous with the festival.

A queer cabaret show led by Candy Warhol will be serving up brunch in the festival’s 17th century walled gardens, an area that will be dedicated to food and live entertainment.

Organisers say this year’s edition will be the first circular festival in Ireland, with plans to recycle, reuse and repurpose all elements of the production.

Following a two-year hiatus, the festival is halving its numbers, with just 5,500 weekend tickets available, promising 'a meticulously curated, strikingly smaller event.' Body and Soul festival has sold out every year since its debut in 2010, growing from 1,800 attendees then to 15,000 in 2019.

A weekend camping ticket costs €250 and is available on their website bodyandsoul.ie
