Offaly Libraries Comic Con returns this weekend

The award winning Offaly Libraries Comic Con will take place in Tullamore Library on Saturday.

This colourful, fun and free family friendly event has become a staple in Offaly’s library calendar since 2019. With doors opening at 10am, there is a day full of activity available on the main library floor.

There is a Vendor and Artist Alley, while bookable workshops are available in the Creative Zone upstairs. Children can also retreat from the hustle and bustle to a dedicated LEGO Freeplay Zone in The Space.

Visitors to the library will be treated to some crafty demonstrations, partake in cosplay competitions for all ages and there’s even a chance to destroy the Deathstar with VEX Robotics, a programme Offaly Libraries is proud to be in collaboration with the IT department of Offaly County Council.

Special guests on the day will include Ghostbusters Ireland, 501st Garrison, Mechatrons Robotics and Shamrock Bricks. It’s sure to keep everyone entertained until 4pm. This innovative project is funded by Creative Ireland and Offaly Libraries.
