Tullamore Credit Union hosts fantastic family fun day

Tullamore Credit Union Ltd held its Family Fun Day recently in Lough Boora Discovery Park and it was a great success!

There was face painting, balloon modelling, aqua balls, hair braiding, giant games, a sweet cart, huge bubbles, fancy dress parade and a talent show – and if all that was not enough, a quiz through Fairy Avenue and an onsite DJ!

There was no escaping the stage as Deputy CEO Caroline Collins Murphy called all credit union staff and volunteers to show their musical talents, by dancing the Hokey Cokey – or at least trying to dance!

There were tasty burgers from The Organic Kitchen and cool ice cream cones all under the watchful eye of the Offaly Civil Defence unit.

Budding entrepreneur Lucy Kearns was also present with her ‘Lucy’s Rainbow Bracelets’!

CEO Paul Shaw opened the event by welcoming all of the Junior Members and reminded those present that being a member of Tullamore Credit Union Ltd has many benefits. He encouraged those who are not yet members and who live, work or study in the credit union's common bond to join.

A presentation was made to Julie Mc Loughlin and Helen Darcy of Bord na Mona Lough Boora Discovery Park on behalf of the credit union by Sean Craven, Director of Tullamore Credit Union, and former director of Kilcormac Credit Union. Sean spoke about the positive impact in the local community, following the amalgamation of Tullamore and Kilcormac Credit Union 12 months ago, having earlier attended the official ribbon cutting event in the Kilcormac branch office.
