Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi in Mullingar for the Fleadh

Niall Horan has returned to his home town of Mullingar which is hosting Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann this week.

He has brought his close friend, the Scotsman, Lewis Capaldi, along.

The pair, who are understood to be filming for a new Guinness advert, were seen walking Mullingar's main streets, and visiting the Joe Dolan statue on the Market Square.

While there, Lewis Capaldi was overheard saying: "Joe Dolan - the true king of Mullingar!"

Niall Horan and singer songwriter Johnny Cronin of the band Cronin, in Mullingar.

The duo then popped into Gloss Hair and Beauty Salon to say hello, before entering the Greville Arms Hotel.

Horan and Capaldi did an impromptu busking session on Dublin's Grafton Street on Friday evening.
