New Lego store opens in Dublin today

Ireland's first Lego shop opened on Grafton Street in Dublin this morning.

Visitors to the shop can marvel at the varying selection of Lego sets and different franchise themes. There are many themed sets available such as Marvel, Harry Potter, Frozen and Star Wars. There are also models of the Titanic, the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal, the International Space Station, a Viking ship along with a Lamborghini, tractors, diggers and hotels.

Shoppers can purchase simple sets for €10 or more elaborate sets for the 18+ age group costing in the hundreds.

The new store features the following :

Minifigure Factory: The LEGO Minifigure Factory allows visitors to design and create a unique LEGO Minifigure which is the perfect souvenir from your visit or gift for someone else.

Lego Pick a Brick Wall: The Pick a Brick Wall is a great opportunity for fans to select the exact elements that they require for their builds.

Store Associates: Whether visitors are picking out a gift, looking for the latest set or bringing your LEGO fan in for a special treat, Brick Specialists can help find a set that’s the perfect fit.

Hands-on Play opportunities, including free build challenges and events each month.

Build a Minifigure Tower mix and match from a wide selection of bottoms, tops, heads, hair pieces and accessories to customize minifigures.

Exclusive LEGO models: Look out for eye-catching 3D LEGO models throughout the store inspired by Dublin city and Irish culture, including the Poolbeg Towers, the Aviva Stadium and the Ha’Penny Bridge with two Lego-build buskers.

As a safety precaution for the opening weekend, visitors to the shop will be given wristbands which permits them 30 minutes inside the store.

The Dublin store is the 898th Lego shop and the company aim to open 986 globally by the end of 2022.

From today until Sunday, August 21 shoppers can also obtain a Lego Store Set with any purchase of €120 or more.

From Monday, August 22 to Thursday, August 25 Lego aficionados have the opportunity to get a Lego Delivery Truck with VIP purchases over €75 or more.
