Offaly Organics was recently launched by Minister Pippa Hackett. Minister Hackett said “I am delighted to visit Offaly Organics and officially open the new premises. My congratulations to them for selection as finalists for Blas na hÉireann, The Irish Food Awards, 2022.”

Speaking at the opening of Offaly Organics she said:

“I was struck by the fact that each oil is traceable to the field where the crop was grown; fields that I have seen for myself to be very close to nature and humming with life. Uses of the oils range from frying to salad dressings and skincare. I wish Offaly Organics well for September’s Awards and also for future expansion and opportunities. We need to support entrepreneurs like Jim who are champions for organics and farm diversification. I was delighted to hear that he received start-up funding from LEADER.”

Owner of the business Jim Kirwan commented: “Each product is naturally grown and totally organic, to ensure that it retains all of the health-promoting benefits it’s known for. The processing takes longer and is more expensive than conventional methods, but we’ll never change them. It’s mother nature at her best.”

They will also have an exhibit in the 'Organics' tent at the Ploughing Championship next month in Laois.
