Traders sought for local Christmas market

Ballinahown Community Development is calling on local traders to apply for a stall at its Christmas Market.

Following the hugely successful inaugural market last year, Ballinahown Development Association announced last week that it would once again hold a Christmas Market on December 21st to coincide with the winter solstice.

The outdoor market will be held in the community carpark and due to the success of last year’s event trading hours have been extended for this year with the market running from 5pm until 8pm.

Applications for stalls opened last week and already there has been a keen interest from local traders. Last year’s event saw stalls offer a wide range of handmade and artisan products, decorations, wreaths, clothing and accessories, beauty products as well as hot and cold food.

Early bird bookings are available at a rate of €30 per stall until 5pm on November 1st. The regular cost of booking a stall is €40 and applications will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 23rd.
