Larissa set to host Moate Christmas concert

Kilbeggan-based singer/songwriter Larissa Tormey has announced a Christmas concert at Tuar Ard in Moate on December 2 where she'll be joined by very special guests James Kilbane and Rachel Goode.

Larissa's 'In The Glow Of A Winter's Eve' will also celebrate the forthcoming release of her Christmas single, also called 'In The Glow Of A Winter's Eve', an original co-write with Anthony Sullivan.

"This is a night I'm really looking forward to", declares Larissa, explaining, "because a Christmas concert is something that I've wanted to do for a long time. So, we've been working on ideas for this since early in the year actually, so it's very exciting that we've finally been able to announce it and share the details with everyone."

And among the details that Larissa is most excited about are her very special guests on the night, James Kilbane and Rachel Goode.

"I've been a fan of James for many years, I just love his voice and the fact that there's a very real, deep, and spiritual element to how he sings and performs. And this is something that you can really get a sense of from James as a person as well, the depth of his spirit. I was delighted to be a guest of his on his 'Rewind' show on Shalom TV which we filmed recently, and which will air on November 9, I believe.

Larissa is a big fan of her other special guest too.

"I first heard Rachel sing when she was on Glór Tíre earlier this year, and of course she was a finalist in Eurosong as well. Her voice is glorious! And what I love about her talent is that she can reach a listener's soul singing any kind of song.

Having a voice like Rachel's is something quite special. And like James, the wonderful thing about Rachel is that she has a heart and personality that matches the beauty of her voice. It will be a pleasure to have Rachel as a guest for this concert, and a privilege to sing on the same stage as her." Larissa Tormey's Christmas concert 'In The Glow Of A Winter's Eve' with special guests James Kilbane and Rachel Goode takes place at the Tuar Ard Theatre in Moate on Friday, December 2.
