WATCH: Drone footage of Tullamore Tractor Run

The annual Tullamore Tractor Run took place yesterday (Wednesday) in aid of Dochas, the Offaly Cancer Support Group.

Some beautiful drone footage (shown below) was taken by Offaly man Joseph Walsh.

A large group of attendees gathered at Tullamore's Market Square on Wednesday morning.

Participants in the tractor run departed from Market Square and made their way along a new route taking them up High Street, right at Kilcruttin onto the Rahan Road, then left onto the Clara Road, left at Coolnahiley Cross, left at Ballykilmurray Cross and back into Tullamore.

This year the annual Christmas charity tractor run raised over €25,000 for Dochas which the committee handed over to the charity earlier this month.

The tractor run featured a host of vintage and classic tractors, cars, trucks and motorcycles.

The tractor run was established in 2008 by a small number of local tractor enthusiasts to raise funds for so much-needed local cancer care. Up to now, Tullamore Tractor Run has raised over €339,000 since its inception.

Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, St James's Hospital in Dublin and Dochas Offaly Cancer Support Group have all benefited greatly from the charity events annually.
