Tullamore girl cuts hair for Rapunzel charity

Tullamore girl Caoimhe White (11) recently had 11 inches of her hair chopped off to donate to the children's charity Rapunzel.

Caoimhe is in fifth class in Killeigh National School and her mother Nicola Quinn said she was proud to be able to donate her hair to such a good cause.

“She was really and truly so happy. We have decided not to fundraise along with the hair donation due to the financial difficulties that many people are facing at the minute. So many people are struggling with expenses and we don't want to put any extra pressure on anybody. We are hoping that the hair alone will help someone somewhere.”

Nicola added: “We are so proud of her and. We hope her kind donation will help some little child somewhere.

Caoimhe had her hair cut by Genevieve Cleere in her hair salon in Geashill on Friday, December 23.
