Local Eagles tribute set for Germany after successful tour debut in Tullamore

Take It To The Limit, the Eagles tribute band featuring Ballycumber's Simon Casey and members of the Midlands musical family the Sheerins, are preparing to tour Germany next month after successfully kicking off 2023 with a sold-out show in the Tullamore Court Hotel last week.

Formed in 2018 to pay homage to Californian rockers The Eagles, the band includes vocalists Simon Casey, Johnny Brady and Nigel Connell, accompanied by the Sheerin family band.

Their current series of shows started on Thursday last. The performance in Tullamore that night attracted enthusiastic reviews on social media, which praised the musicianship and vocal harmonies on display.

The Offaly date was followed with another sold-out show at the Theatre Royal in Waterford, and the band has several more dates in Ireland over the coming weeks, including at the INEC Arena in Killarney on January 21 and in the Royal Theatre Castlebar on February 3.

Germany is next on the agenda after that, with ten consecutive shows lined up from February 6-15 in cities such as Mannheim, Berlin and Nurnberg.

There will then be another Take It To The Limit performance in the Irish Midlands, with the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe hosting the band on February 23.
