Kinnitty fundraiser for Hospice tops €11k
Four Offaly men raised a whopping €11,820 from a shave night fundraiser for Offaly Hospice Foundation.
Peadar, Ollie and Liam Bergin along with Martn Mullins raised the money through distributing donation cards in shops and pubs all over the county, an idonate page, and a fundraising night in The Slieve Bloom Bar where Aaron Whelahan of Aaron's Barbershop Birr gave of his time and patience to shave the four bearded men.
All in all €11,820 was raised and this was donated to Offaly Hospice in the Kinnitty Community Centre last week.
The four men have thanked all who helped in making this such a success. They reserved special thanks to Majella who did MC for the night, Padraig, who supplied the audio system and music, Kieran, for the use of the Slieve Bloom Bar and for the food, Aaron Whelahan for shaving the lads, Brigid Kealey for her spot prize and Sarah Austin for all her work and to everyone else who donated spot prizes and bought lines.
