New short film highlights beauty of Croghan Hill and connection to St Brigid
A new short film, 'Croghan Calling’, has been released which celebrates Croghan Hill by highlighting its beauty and importance to the county.
Croghan Calling' features many local people enjoying the outdoors and the stunning landscape of Croghan. They can be seen enjoying walks on Croghan Hill, playing Gaelic football and sketching drawings outdoors.
Croghan Hill has a strong association with St Brigid and there are many references to our Matron Saint in the video.
The short film was written and directed by Offaly based IFTA winning filmmaker Garret Daly. Garret is also the Managing Director of Mixed Bag Media, an award-winning Irish film and television production company based between Daingean and Croghan.
The film was funded and supported by the Creative Ireland Community project and Offaly County Council.
