Tullamore counselling service benefits from charity ball

A cheque for €7,500 was presented to Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) by Molly Buckley, Chairperson of Power4 Good, from the proceeds of the annual Black Tie Charity Ball which took place before Christmas.

In making the cheque presentation, Molly thanked the many people who supported the charity ball which enabled Power4Good to provide funding to what she described as "this vital service." She also extended thanks to Dolan's Pharmacy for their sponsorship of the annual Black Tie Charity Ball.

Accesssible Counselling (ACT) is a registered charity which was founded as a not-for-profit community-based counselling centre that provides people in the Midlands with accessible, affordable and timely counselling and psychotherapy services. ACT offers one to one counselling for people over 16 years of age who can self-refer. To date the service has seen 1,230 clients.

Power4Good Ireland is also a registered charity based in Tullamore which supports services for children with a disability in Zambia to ensure they can enjoy full human rights and achieve their maximum potential. The charity also make contributions to local services for children and young people with autism in Offaly.
