Offaly woman to lead workshops in Cyanotype printing technique

Veronica Nicholson, a photographic artist and educator based in Rhode is offering Cyanotype printing workshops in her home studio over the coming months.

In these fun and creative three-hour workshops participants will be introduced to the incredible 19th century Cyanotype printing technique, a non-toxic alternative photo process that uses the sunlight and or UV light to produce the distinct cyan blue images.

Veronica will guide attendees through preparing the paper, arranging the wildflowers, and after exposure and washing they will have a beautiful print to take home. Weather dependent participants will also go for a walk to pick their own wildflowers to create a unique print.

The workshops cost €60 per person and all materials are provided. It's suitable for all ages from seven years of age upwards and there is a maximum of six participants per workshop.

The next workshops will take place on Saturday, April 1 and Saturday, April 29 from 10am until 1pm.
