Shinrone Youth Initiative

Shinrone Youth initiative is facilitated by Offaly Local Development Company and is made up of 17 young people from the Shinrone area ranging in age from 13 to 19 years of age. Since its formation in 2020 the group has participated in multiple community initiatives which have not only enhanced the aesthetics of Shinrone as a village but have helped local groups like Shinrone sensory walk, Tidy Towns and the Christmas lights committee to achieve their goals. In 2022 they helped celebrate the achievements of Shinrone hurling and Camoige club as they literally painted the village red and white and encouraged the rest of the community to get behind the teams.
