Foróige soccer tournament success

Offaly Foróige held its soccer tournament for club members on Sunday, March 26 on Gallen United's all weather pitch. There were 2 groups consisting of teams from Ferbane X 2, Ballycumber, Killurin, Banagher and Rath/Eglish. After the group stages, which were very close, Ferbane and Ballycumber teams made it to the final. On the day the Ferbane team deserved their win.

The Ferbane captain Ryan Moore thanked his team mates and the Ballycumber team for a sporting game after receiving the winners trophy from Barbara Daly. After the presentation refreshments were had. Thanks to everyone who organised and helped out on the day and to Gallen united for the use of their fabulous facilities. A special word of thanks to Niall Fitzgerald for all his hard work.
