Offaly seeking new ladies boss as joint managers depart

Offaly LGFA is looking for a new manager of their intermediate ladies' team after it was confirmed that Danny McGarvey and Brían Ó Ruairc will not be continuing in their roles.

McGarvey and Ó Ruairc were joint managers of the Offaly team which won the Division 4 league title in 2022, defeating Limerick in the final at St Brendan's Park.

Offaly retained their place in the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship for 2024 by winning a relegation play-off against Longford in Kinnegad last month. The Faithful ladies defeated Longford in that game by 4-5 to 1-8, with Emma Hand, Amy Gavin Mangan, Emily Bailey and Róisín Cockram scoring goals for Offaly.

Offaly LGFA has thanked McGarvey and Ó Ruairc for their contribution and wishes them success in their "future endeavours".

Now accepting applications for the position of intermediate manager, Offaly LGFA has revealed that the application deadline is Friday, September 8 at 5pm. Application forms and further information is available by contacting the Offaly LGFA secretary at secretary.offaly@lgfa.ie

In addition to any applications which may be received, Offaly LGFA has pointed out that it is also within its remit to identify candidates for the role.
