Academy of Music students graduate with diplomas

The Academy of Music in Tullamore is this week celebrating the success of five new diploma graduates.

During the course of their studies, the five graduates have had the opportunity to work closely with experienced instructors and mentors who have guided them on their musical path. Through countless hours of practice, study, and performance, they have honed their technical abilities and developed a deep understanding of music theory and performance interpretation.

The five accomplished students are: Andrea Hickey A.V.C.M (TD Hons), from Rhode, a student of teacher Martina Burgoyne at the Academy; and a Third Year Psychology student at Maynooth University; was awarded Honours in Piano Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music.

Caitlin Minnock A.V.C.M (Performance Honours), from Rahan, a student of teacher Ciaran Brady at the Academy; and a first year Performance Degree Student in Voice/Singing at the Royal Irish Academy of Music; was awarded Honours in Voice/Singing from the London Victoria College of Music.

Caitlin was also awarded a Diploma in Violin Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music. She was a student of teacher Maria Creevey for her violin studies at the Academy;

Niamh Coleman A.V.C.M (TD Hons), from Geashill, a student of teacher Martina Burgoyne at the Academy; was awarded Honours in Piano Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music.

Maria Creevey F.V.C.M (Teaching), from Enniscorthy Co.Wexford and a teacher at the Academy; was awarded the highest Diploma with an Honours Fellowship in Violin Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music.

Orla Burgoyne A.V.C.M (TD Hons), from Mucklagh, a student of teacher Martina Burgoyne at the Academy; and a Third Year student on the Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching degree course at Mary Immaculate college; was awarded Honours in Piano Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music.

The Academy of Music congratulates these five diploma graduates on their remarkable accomplishments and wishes them continued success as they embark on the next chapters of their musical careers.
