Granddaughter of Harriers legend carries on family tradition in Canada

Samantha (Larkin) Hook, the granddaughter of Tullamore Harriers co-founder Paddy Larkin, recently ran her first half marathon in her hometown of Fort McMurray, Canada.

Samantha proudly wore the blue and white Tullamore Harriers colours previously worn by her father Adrian and her grandfather Paddy.

This is the third year running of this event in Fort McMurray (located in the north east of Alberta province) and for her first go at the half marathon distance, Samantha ran a great time of 2:10.

"Well done, Samantha, your grandfather would be very proud," said Tullamore Harriers AC.
