Portrait of Brian Cowen goes on display in Leinster House
A painting of former Taoiseach and Clara man Brian Cowen is now on display in Leinster House alongside fellow former taoisigh in the landing outside the Dáil chamber.
The portrait is located beside the portrait of Bertie Ahern and was on display in the Royal Hibernian Academy earlier this year.
The portrait was painted by award-winning artist and figurative painter Blaise Smith who's based in Kilkenny.
Brian succeeded Bertie Ahern in May 2008, becoming the country's twelfth Taoiseach.
