Local woman named Offaly Carer of the Year

Offaly woman Shauna Buckley was named Offaly Carer of the Year in Netwatch's Family Carers of the Year awards recently.

Shauna is a full-time carer for children with complex additional needs. Beth Wogan Support Manager Community hosted a celebration for Shauna and Laois Carer of the Year Lynda Dollard at Netwatch's premises in the Market Square in Tullamore.

Family Carers Ireland acknowledge the tremendous work of all carers who dedicate themselves to providing remarkable levels of care in the home to loved ones. Every year a carer from each county is selected as Carer of the Year highlighting the incredible work that all carers do.
