Tullamore Cycle Centre gearing up for festive season

Tullamore Cycle Centre is gearing up for the festive season and is once again running its popular Christmas Club in-store. They operate a pay as you go system so customers can pay a deposit and get their bike in time for Christmas.

Parents and children pick a bike in store and the kids can fill out their letters to Santa. The cycle centre will also have some special offers in-store over the festive period.

Tullamore Cycle Centre stocks 400 bikes in store in all shapes and sizes, covering every price point carrying big name brands such as Ridley, Merida and Cannondale. Customers can find a huge range of different bikes depending on their needs such as electric bikes, road racer bikes, mountain bikes, leisure bikes, gravel bikes, hybrid bikes and childrens' bikes.

Owner and manager of the shop Donagh McArdle said that they take a deposit and hold the bike until Christmas. They also sell all the necessary accessories such as helmets, lighting, footwear, mudguards, drinks holders and children's stabilisers. The cycle centre offers free local delivery to customers in Tullamore and surrounding areas or they can collect their bike in-store.

Customers also have the option to designing their own bike, frame and colour options. All bikes are fully built in-store and ready to go.

Donagh and shop mechanic Damien Mitchell both come from a biking background which is how the business “kicked off”. Gravel bikes or off road bikes are one of their biggest sellers currently as many locals use the bikes to cycle along the canal paths and greenways and around Lough Boora park.

Tullamore Cycle Centre is also a registered outlet for the bike to work scheme. This is the local business' ninth year in operation as it opened in the town in 2015. They also have a full repair and service area workshop with a quick turnaround for busy customers.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Tullamore Cycle Centre is located at Unit 3, The Tanyard, Tullamore with free parking outside the store.
