Unwrap the December magic at Birr Theatre

Since its inception Birr Theatre has always been a place of wonder. So, it is no surprise that this December it promises to be your destination for holiday enchantment. The people at Birr Theatre have a concocted a dazzling lineup that promises an extended season of festive cheer.

It will all kick off in Style on December 2, with Jack Lukeman's "Northern Lights," a concert illuminating the winter solstice with poetry and the very comforting boom of Jack L’s deep voice delivering Christmas classics but not as you know them.

The weekend of December 8 and 9, patrons will have the chance to be reacquainted with the seasonal show we have all been missing since the dreaded COVID. Birr Stage Guild will be back on stage offering a night of seasonal songs and stories with local talents and very special guest John Molloy. The magic continues on December 10 with "Elfie Saves Christmas," a heartwarming play from Talisman Theatre designed for audiences young and old. Laughter, cheers, boos, and sing-alongs are guaranteed.

But that is not all! Birr party people will be able to dance themselves into the aisle and into the end of the year on December 16 with ABBA Forever's singalong extravaganza, a night of joy and nostalgia.

Closing out the month on December 21 is a special screening of the beloved movie "Elf" on the 20th anniversary of its release. The theatre will transform into a cinematic wonderland as Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel take audiences on a hilarious and heartwarming journey.
