Harriers Experience committee hands proceeds to ACT

Members of the Harriers Experience handed over a cheque for €3,240 to Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT) recently.

The fundraiser took place in the Phoenix Bar on August 27 and featured music from the Harriers throughout the decades performed by local DJs, Brendan Murphy, Neil Murphy, Paul Fox, Tony Christie and John Cusack.

The night was a huge success and was a great trip down memory lane for all in attendance.

Speaking to Tullamore Tribune the Harriers Experience committee said: “We are absolutely thrilled and overflowing with gratitude for everyone who came together to make Harriers for ACT an unforgettable success, all in support of Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT).

ACT plays a vital role in our community, and your contributions will go a long way in ensuring that their important work continues.

A special thank you to each and every person who contributed their time, resources, and dedication to making this event a reality. Whether you helped organise, volunteered, donated, or attended, your involvement is deeply appreciated.”

Speaking on behalf of ACT, Lisa O’Connor extended her thanks to the Harriers Experience Committee for choosing ACT as the beneficiary of their event. “ACT is not government funded and relies on the generosity of the community to help keep the doors open, we are so thankful to the committee for organising such a wonderful event and thank you to everyone that supported it. It is because of events like these that we can continue supporting those in our committee that are in need of accessible, affordable and timely counselling.”
