Rahan Comhaltas raises over €2.5k for Unicef Gaza appeal
Rahan Comhaltas raised €2,500 for the Unicef Gaza emergency appeal at their annual table quiz in the Thatch on Saturday last.
The group said a massive thanks to all the people that were involved in the quiz including the Rahan hall committee and volunteers for setting up, sponsors, donors and The Thatch for hosting the event, Jackie Hennessy for questions and Fr Whittaker for being on the mic all night creating a fun atmosphere.
The group is delighted with amazing amount raised on the night and it will be really helpful for people in need.
Big thanks to those who won cash prizes and gave the money back, their generosity will make an amazing difference to people in Gaza.
The night was full of fun and held the spirit of giving back to those in need after an amazing Christmas.
Rahan Comhaltas is looking forward to spreading the joy of Irish music and giving back to the community during 2024.
Music and dance lessons start back on January 12 in Killina Presentation Secondary School. Set dancing lessons also begin on Thursday, January 18th in Shamrocks GAA rooms, Tullybeg with Norah Carroll at 8.30pm.
