Lisa's incredible charitable gesture

One of Ireland's leading style influencers, Lisa McGowan from Tullamore, has presented an extraordinary €200,000 to LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.

Lisa, known for her popular Lisa's Lust list blog posts, handed over the generous contribution, raised collectively with her online community, at the hospice's location in Leopardstown in Dublin.

The money was raised through an exciting online raffle and also by attending the Lisa's Christmas Fair at The Sheraton Hotel in Athlone last December, which featured an impressive line-up of Irish and international brands to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, mixing luxury, laughter and giving back.

Both events, whether experienced virtually or in person, served as platforms for supporters not only to engage with thrilling opportunities to win prizes but also to make impactful contributions to LauraLynn.

LauraLynn, a leading organisation dedicated to supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families, has expressed their gratitude for Lisa’s efforts and generous contribution towards making a positive impact on the lives of those facing challenging circumstances.

"I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the incredible work of LauraLynn. As I hand over this donation of €200,000, my heart is filled with joy knowing that together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing challenging times," Lisa McGowan said.

"The cheque is not just a sum of money; it represents compassion, support, and the collective effort to bring comfort and care to those in need. Let this act inspire a ripple of kindness, reminding us all that even a small gesture can make a big impact on someone's journey," the fashion influencer from Tullamore added.

Cathy White, Community Fundraising Executive at LauraLynn praised the generosity shown by Lisa and her followers that will make an incredible impact to the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and their families who LauraLynn supports across Ireland.

"We would like to thank Lisa and her followers. We are so honoured to be chosen as Lisa’s charity of choice for this fundraiser. Lisa’s commitment to charitable causes and her ability to mobilise her online community for a noble cause have set a new standard, exemplifying the profound impact that collective generosity can have on making a positive difference in the lives of those in need," she remarked.

Lisa first came to national prominence when she won the Galway Races Best Dressed Lady competition in 2016.

The following year, she started Lisa’s Lust List and the page has grown year on year ever since. She now has a combined social media following of 300,000 on Facebook and Instagram alone with followers enjoying her fashion and lifestyle chats and recommendations.

In 2020, Lisa launched her own brand, Lisa & Co selling clothing and perfume.
