Some 30 social housing units allocated in Portarlington

Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council Fianna Fail Cllr Eddie Fitzpatrick has welcomed the allocation of 33 new housing units by the housing section of Offaly County Council at Birchfield, Kilmalogue, Portarlington

He said the development would provide stable homes for families who have been on the local authority social housing waiting list for a number of years.

Cllr Fitzpatrick said this is the first such development on the Offaly side of Portarlington for over a decade and it certainly will reduce the figures on the housing list in this area of the county.

"I want to congratulate the families who were allocated a new home in this fabulous new development and wish them many years of happiness in their new homes," concluded Cllr Fitzpatrick.
