Offaly native named in Ireland Women's U19 squad

An Offaly footballer has been included in the Republic of Ireland Women's Under-19 squad for their three UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championship Qualifiers in Croatia.

Drawn into Group A2, Dave Connell's squad are targeting top spot and a place in this summer's finals tournament in Lithuania.

Ellen Dolan, a former Mucklagh FC player, who now lines out with Peamount United has been included in the group for the games against Iceland (April 3), Austria (April 6) and Croatia (April 9).

Ireland will be keen to build on the good work they completed in a recent trip to Finland and give themselves the opportunity to qualify for the tournament.

Dolan was previously named in the Ireland Women's National Team squad for their 2023/24 UEFA Nations League campaign against Hungary and Northern Ireland in December last.
