Local community based project seeking proposals for projects in Edenderry

A community based project in Edenderry is seeking proposals from local, national or international professional artists and arts organisations and collectives, that wish to collaborate artistically with groups in the town on creative projects.

The commissions will support the planning, production, and presentation of the proposed ideas. Your proposal should:

Support and reflect the ethos of arts participation - participatory, collaborative, community, and socially engaged arts practices.

Demonstrate a vision to incubate and deliver an artistically ambitious and durational project, and should consider the legacy of the programme, particularly that of embedding arts and culture in Edenderry.

This opportunity is open to any artform, and the proposal must be artist/creative led.

The awards that can be applied for are:

2 x up to €3,000

1 x up to €6,000

1 x up to €12,000

There will be an in-person information session about the commissions at Edenderry Library on Wednesday, April 17 from 12pm to 2pm, and an online Zoom information session on Tuesday, April 23 from 4pm to 5pm.

Please submit applications by email to lindsey@creative-lives.org by 5pm on Wednesday, May 15.

Creative Places is run throughout Ireland in several towns and the Edenderry branch of the project is hoping to complement what activities are already happening in the town. It's a community based three-year project to connect, create and develop artistic and cultural activities to enhance the community engagement and spirit within the area. It is supported by Creative Lives, Creative Edenderry, Arts Council Ireland, Offaly County Council and North Offaly Community Development Network.
