Fiadh after her 100th parkrun

Ten-year-old Fiadh completes her 100th parkrun

The wind on Saturday didn't hamper 10-year-old Fiadh Cojocaru as she completed her 100th parkrun. This is a significant milestone, particularly for someone as young as Fiadh.

Fiadh completed her first parkrun in late 2019 and has been a regular at Mountlucas parkrun since then, known for her strong determination and cheery smile.

She was joined on the day by a large gang of family members supporting her, all of whom were incredibly proud of this milestone achievement by Fiadh. After she crossed the finish line, 10-year-old Fiadh said "I feel really good!"

Speaking about reaching the milestone, she said: "It feels like a big challenge to do all the parkruns and trying not to miss one but it feels so good after you're done." The occasion was marked with beautiful cupcakes homemade by Fiadh's mother Martina, and they were very well received by all. Martina said: "We are so proud of Fiadh's commitment and achievement in her parkrun journey."
