Europe candidate Cowen canvasses in home county
Deputy Barry Cowen, Fianna Fáil European election candidate in the Midlands North West, was canvassing in his home county of Offaly on Saturday as part of his European campaign.
Deputy Cowen began the day at Edenderry Mart, where he welcomed the new tillage support scheme announced by Agriculture, Food and the Marine Charlie McConalogue this week. Deputy Cowen was joined by Fianna Fáil local election candidate Claire Murray in Daingean.
Minister of State at the Department of Health and at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Anne Rabbitte and Fianna Fáil local election candidate Audrey Kennedy were with Deputy Cowen in Birr in the afternoon.
