Nostalgic night out for over 30's as Spiders returns to Tullamore

The Phoenix Tullamore has announced that it will hold the town's first over 30's club night this summer.

The night out will be aimed at those who spent many fun nights out in years gone by partying in Spiders, The Harriers, Cous, The Rugby Club and Stringfellas.

The event will take place in The Phoenix on Saturday, June 8 from 6pm to 10pm. Revealing the news on social media, the venue said: "Do you want to go out and party and still be home in time for Match of The Day? We will be bringing back some of your favourite DJ's from back in the day playing all the hits from the 70's/80's/90's and a few of today's hits sprinkled in."

Owner of The Phoenix, Kieran Conroy said that he thinks there will be a "huge demand" for the club night.

"Similar events are selling out in Dublin and Belfast and the national media has jumped on a big event on in The Academy soon. We have a great night planned using DJ's who played in Tullamore back in the 80s and 90s. We hope this will be the start of regular events like this we plan to hold in our venue," stated Mr Conroy.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, April 26 at 9am. As it is the first event they will be free but extremely limited.

The Phoenix Tullamore will post the ticket link tonight (Thursday) so keep an eye on their social media. ID will be required to prove you are over 30 on the night. For more information see Phoenix Tullamore on Facebook.
