Fianna Fáil to hold Daingean meeting on rural transport

A Fianna Fáil election candidate in the Edenderry electoral area is hosting a public meeting on rural transport this week.

Claire Murray is hosting the meeting with Minister of State Jack Chambers on Thursday, May 2 in Daingean Town Hall at 8pm.

"I have started canvassing in my area and it is fair to say that the condition of our roads is a huge issue for people in North Offaly. Other concerns include the limited public transport network and safety when it comes to pedestrian crossings. It is my hope, that this meeting will afford the people in North Offaly the chance to have their concerns raised and heard by Jack Chambers, a minister in the appropriate area and we can examine ways to improve rural transport.

"Fianna Fáil is a party that can deliver. I, alongside my party colleagues Cllr. Robert McDermott and Cllr. Eddie Fitzpatrick, want to be involved in examining constructive ways that transport can be improved in North Offaly.

"I want to be a new voice for people in my constituency and this can only happen once we embrace new opportunities and ideas. I am looking forward to chatting on the night and hope to see you there."
