John Guilfoyle and Patricia Finn bringing some fun to Tullamore Parkrun on Star Wars Day last Saturday.

Powerful forces at play in Tullamore Parkrun!

The force was strong on the Grand Canal last Saturday morning where over 40 people ran, walked and volunteered in the Tullamore Parkrun.

The day, May 4th, coincided with Star Wars Day and some of the participants really got into the spirit of things with their costumes to mark the occasion.

The organisers were happy to welcome four first-timers with visitors coming from galaxies far, far away including Cork, Dundalk and Queensland, Australia.

There were five personal bests on the day, with The Grand Canal Way Parkrun, Tullamore saying well done to each of those who improved their times.

There was even a visit from Princess Leia who was the tail walker for the day!

The volunteer team on the day was “out of this world” and Tullamore Parkrun thanks Patricia Finn, Mary McIntyre, Bernard Doheny, Sandra Busteed, Deirdre Oman, Enda Molloy, Róisín Molloy, Margaret Clear and Eimear Cotter for their assistance.
