The date has been announced for this year's Midlands Craft Beer Festival in Moate.

The annual event is celebrating ten years since it first started, and this year it will be happening on Saturday, August 31, in Don's Bar.

Organisers said the event would be kicking off at 3pm, and more details would be announced in the weeks ahead.

Moate resident Simon Broderick, who works for craft beer distribution company Fourcorners, is one of the founders and chief organisers of the festival, which offers live music and food stands in addition to an array of artisanal Irish beer.
