Ferbane native to host 'A Day In The Country' comedy sketch show
Ferbane native, comedian and social media personality Tadhg J Devery is taking his talents to the stage with a new show called 'A Day In The Country'.
Tadhg will be touring with the show and will have one performance in his native Offaly, which will take place in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, on Saturday, November 2.
Other locations where he will be performing include the Mount Wolseley Hotel in Carlow, on November 16, and the Tuar Ard Arts Centre in Moate on November 29.
Speaking to the Offaly Independent about what inspired ‘A Day In The Country’, Tadhg said: “I've been doing comedy sketches for a few years now, mostly country related, and there have been 15 to 20 characters (in the sketches).”
When asked what fans can expect from the show, he said: “I've written it, it's going to be played out on screen, and the characters will be coming out on the stage.
“It includes an original sketch, and some new stuff. I'm bringing six of the top characters to the stage.”
Outlining what he is most looking forward to, Tadhg said: “Interacting with the crowd and having a bit of craic.”
He added: “I'm happy to be starting this off in Offaly, because I'm from there. I'm hoping for a good turn out and local support.”
Tickets for the show are on sale on Eventbrite from today (September 20).
