Clara Town Team plans go on display to boost public engagement
An outline of the plans for upgrading Clara town centre will be on display to the public in the old Bank of Ireland building over the next three weeks.
Clara Town Team has announced that the project intervention posters will be displayed “to further promote and facilitate community engagement”.
They will be available every Monday and Wednesday up until Monday, November 11, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm each day.
Clara was chosen as one of the first batch of 26 towns across the country to receive funding to develop a Town Centre First Plan. Urban Agency Architects were appointed by Offaly County Council to support the Town Team and the Council to prepare the Town Centre First Plan for Clara.
The plan presents a new vision for Clara, by providing an understanding of the place, defining the place and identifying means of enabling the place.
It has identified 15 regenerative projects that could transform Clara and help create a vibrant town centre.
Anyone with questions or concerns about the plans is asked to contact Town Team Secretary and Communications Officer Anna Orman at secretary@claratownteam.ie.
