Offaly face Wexford with Leinster final berth up for grabs
Three weeks after securing the Division 2A League title, Offaly travel to Chadwick Park on Saturday to take on Wexford in the Leinster Senior Camogie Semi Final.
While Offaly will be full of confidence given that they have a 100% record so far in 2025, Saturday's game against Wexford is an undoubted step up in terms of the quality of opposition.
Offaly have navigated their way through the league campaign with relative ease with their biggest challenge coming against Meath in the third round when Faithful girls came away with a three-point win.
Saturday's opposition played in Division 1B of the league and while they narrowly lost their two opening games of the campaign to Antrim and Clare, they went on to show their strength and win their remaining three fixtures with plenty of breathing space.
But Offaly proved last year that despite a somewhat disappointing league campaign that they are capable of putting in a performance in the Leinster Championship. In last year's semi final they gave Dublin a real fright despite playing a large part of the game with 14 players before the Dubliners went on to eventually win by four points.
It is now six years since Offaly last played in the Leinster Senior Final and David Sullivan will be hoping his team can continue their winning streak in 2025 and overcome a sizeable challenge on Saturday and book themselves into the provincial decider.
