Tullamore student wins EU script-writing competition

Sacred Heart School Tullamore student Favour Omoruyi recently won the Capacity Ireland and the EU Gemini Script Writing Competition for Teenagers.

The idea behind Favour's screenplay was based on not living up to the expectations of others when it comes to your gender.

Favour was the winner for Ireland, and received a €500 gift card as her reward.

The competition offered the International winner the opportunity to win a trip to Rome to work with TV script writers on their idea.

The Capacity Ireland and the EU Gemini Script Writing Competition for Teenagers focused on efforts to break down gender and sexuality stereotypes with their screen-writing.
