St Mary's, Edenderry honoured at Leinster Rugby Awards

St Mary's SS, Edenderry was chosen as the Development School of the Year as part of the annual Leinster Rugby Awards Ball held yesterday evening (Tuesday).

Tom Rehill, the deputy principal of St Mary's Secondary School, accepted the award on behalf of the Offaly school.

Meanwhile, Offaly native Michael Milne, who is now with Munster, was one of the departing Leinster players acknowledged on the occasion.

Linda Djougang and RG Snyman were the big winners from the Leinster senior teams as they took home the Player of the Year Awards for their outstanding contributions.

Robyn O'Connor and Sam Prendergast were winners of the Women's Young Player of the Year Award and the Men's Young Player of the Year Award respectively.

In an event hosted by MC Joe Molloy in UCD's O'Reilly Hall, over 500 guests celebrated the best of the domestic and professional game over the 2024-25 season.

Bringing the curtain down on the event was an emotional standing ovation for Cian Healy, who will retire at the end of this season as the most capped Leinster and Irish player of all time.
