Offaly senior hurling team named for provincial clash with Kilkenny

Offaly senior hurling manager Johnny Kelly has named his starting team to play Kilkenny in the Leinster championship on Saturday evening at 6pm.

The Faithful County travel to UPC Nowlan Park knowing a win is essential if they have any hopes of sustaining future interest in this year's provincial championship.

Having previously suffered defeats to Dublin and Galway in the opening two round robin fixtures, Offaly will be hoping to display some of the form which earned them league promotion earlier in the season.

Kilkenny have two provincial championship wins to date with victories over Galway and Antrim and are certain to provide stern opposition for an Offaly team who will be have to be fully concentrated for the game's duration if they are achieve a positive result in UPC Nowlan Park.
