Tullamore choir named National Choir of the Year

Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir have been named the National Choir of the Year at the Navan Choral Festival.

Navan Choral and Instrumental Festival took place from May 3 to the 11.

The choir were also awarded 3rd place in the Sacred Music competition.

The group were 'over the moon' with their success at the festival.

"We had such a fantastic day at Navan Choral Festival. Competing with the top choirs in Ireland.

"We are absolutely over the moon to have been crowned the National Choir of the Year in the national Choir of the year competition."
