Offaly aim to continue winning ways as Tailteann Cup team named

Offaly joint senior football managers Declan Kelly and Mickey Harte have named their starting team to play Waterford in the Faithful County's second Tailteann Cup Group 2 fixture in Walsh Park on Saturday afternoon (throw in, 1.30pm).

One of the favourites for this year's second tier senior football championship competition, Offaly will be hoping to build upon their opening Tailteann Cup fixture win over Wicklow in Glenisk O'Connor Park Tullamore last weekend, during which full forward Jack Bryant featured prominently with a scoring return of 1-5.

A win for the Faithful County will place them in a strong position to advance to the knockout phase of this year's competition with a final round robin fixture against Laois to come.

Hosts Waterford started their Tailteann Cup campaign with a nine point loss to Laois and will be eager to claim their first win of the group phase on home soil.
